  • Duration: The visa is typically granted for 2 to 3 years, depending on your qualification. Holders of Hong Kong and British National (Overseas) passports may be eligible for a visa duration of up to 5 years.
  • Work Rights: This visa allows you to work full-time in Australia, providing an opportunity to gain practical experience in your field of study.
  • Application Deadline: You must apply for this visa within 6 months of the completion date of your eligible qualification.
  • English Proficiency: You must demonstrate a certain level of English proficiency, typically through standardized tests such as IELTS or PTE. (Not required for UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Ireland Passport holders)
  • Health and Character Requirements: As part of the application process, you will need to meet health and character requirements, which may include undergoing medical examinations and providing police clearance certificates.

The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) – Second Post-Higher Education Work stream allows international students who have previously held a Temporary Graduate visa under the Post-Higher Education Work stream to apply for a second visa, provided they meet specific criteria.

  • Eligibility Requirements:To be eligible for the Second Post-Higher Education Work stream, applicants must:● Hold a valid passport.● Have completed a qualification from a CRICOS-registered Australian institution in a designated regional area.● Reside in a designated regional area during the period of study and for at least 2 years immediately before the application.● Have held a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) under the Post-Higher Education Work stream previously.● Hold adequate health insurance.● Meet health and character requirements.

  • Eligibility: You must have completed a qualification that is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) and is at least 2 academic years in duration.   • Duration: The visa is typically granted for 18 months. However, holders of Hong Kong and British National (Overseas) passports may be eligible for a visa duration of up to 5 years.
